  • Vehicle ratchet straps are available for hire at £5.00 each including vat. Should you require these please notify us when booking your trailer hire. Please note where ratchet straps are supplied, it is the hirer’s responsibility to inspect them for damage before using them. Berkshire County Trailer accepts no responsibility for any damage or accident caused by the use of ratchet straps. These terms form part of the Hire Agreement which is signed before the trailer leaves our premises for hire.
  • Hitch locks and wheel clamps must be returned at the end of hire in the same condition they were at the beginning of hire.  Any loss or damage of these items on return will be deducted from your deposit.

  • Number plates are available to purchase at £18.00 each including vat. You must provide current proof of identity and proof of entitlement (V5). A number plate can’t be made until these documents are verified.

The Maypole SY150 is ideal for transporting camping equipment and carrying luggage.  Same size as the Erde 143 camping trailer.

Trailer hire from Berkshire County Trailers is based at Moss End Garden Village in Berkshire. Covering Reading trailer hire, Slough trailer hire, Maidenhead trailer hire, Windsor trailer hire and Bracknell trailer hire.

How to Rent a Trailer

Please ensure you call at least 30 mins before collection or return of trailer.  All our trailers for hire are listed on the TRAILER HIRE page.  Once you know which trailer want to hire, please call us on 01344 286161 or 07853 263484 to check availability.  If there is no answer, it means we are either dealing with another customer or on the other phone.  Your call is important to us so please leave a message and we will call you back.  Alternatively you can use the CONTACT FORM to check availability or email.  You will require the following documents in order rent a trailer: 

​A.  UK VALID DRIVER’S LICENCE & VALID PASSPORT IF LEAVING THE COUNTRY

B.  A CURRENT UTILITY BILL (COUNCIL TAX, GAS OR BANK STATEMENT) WITH MATCHING ADDRESS NOT MORE THAN THREE MONTHS OLD.  PLEASE NOTE A MOBILE PHONE BILL IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

D.  A VALID CERTIFICATE OF MOTOR INSURANCE.

C.  THERE IS A PRE-AUTHORISED DEPOSIT OF £200.00 FOR UK HIRE AND £500.00 FOR EUROPEAN HIRE.

Berkshire County Trailers Ltd will not rent a trailer unless the above documentation is provided.  When the trailer is returned, all copies/photos of documentation is destroyed in accordance with GDPR.  Both the rental and deposit needs to be paid for with a debit or credit card (excluding AMEX), CASH IS NOT ACCEPTED.  Furthermore on the day of your rental please ensure you call us at least 30 minutes before you arrive.  This will enable us to check your trailer before leaving and ready for when you arrive.  Lastly on the day of your return with the trailer we also require you to call at least 30 minutes before drop off to ensure a member of staff is available to meet you at the yard.
