Trailer Brake Shoes

Trailer brake shoes for Knott and ALKO brake drums. Knott brake shoes for all sizes of Knott brake drums. The following Knott sizes are stocked: 160x35mm, 200x50mm, 203x40mm and 250x40mm. AL-KO brake shoes for all sizes of AL-KO brake drums. ALKO sizes stocked: 160x37mm, 200x51mm as well as 230x61mm.

In addition we also stock other brake shoes from BPW and Bradley.  BPW brake shoes are commonly fitted to Graham Edwards trailers.

Most trailer manufacturers such as Brian James, Ifor Williams and Indespension use ALKO and Knott brake shoes.  A number of caravan manufacturers also use Knott Avonride and Alko brake shoes.

We offer both genuine and retrofit brake shoe kits. Please be sure of your brake sizes before ordering. If you are unsure of your brake size you will need to take the following measurements; Internal diameter of the brake drum and width of the brake shoe.

Brake manufacturers recommend the replacement of brake shoes are down in complete axle sets to ensure towing safety and even wear.  Here at Berkshire County Trailers we recommend having your trailer serviced regularly.
